Thor and sif
Thor was the god of thunder, law, and order. He was the son of Odin and and his lover, Jorth. He was married to the goddess Sif. He was known as the Keeper of Oaths, and people swore on him when creating oaths. He protected Norsemen's farms and homes when he killed Giants to protect Asgard. He had a chariot pulled across the sky by two goats named Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder. Their hooves caused the sound of thunder heard on the Earth below. Sailors would pray to him for fine weather before setting off.
Sif was the goddess of the harvest, fruitfulness, and plenty. Her long golden hair was something she prided herself in, and it reminded people of the golden harvest. It was once all cut off by Loki as a cruel prank. She was miserable and crops would not grow until it was replaced. The dark months while her hair was gone became what was known as winter.
