Odin and Frigga
Odin and Frigga were the King and Queen of all the gods. Odin was a stern and sometimes cruel King. He had great power that he sometimes used for unjustified purposes. He could be spiteful and his anger was feared by many. He was worshipped by those oh high standard such as kings or nobles, and was greatly respected. He was the god of battle, poetry, wisdom, and the dead. Whenever he struck his spear to the ground, battle would begin. He decided the outcome of every battle. He also decided which fallen warriors would join him in his two halls Valhalla and Valaskjalf.He had two ravens named Huninn(Thought) and Muninn(Memory), which flew over the Worlds and returned to him with information on important happenings. He obtained the Mead of Poetry from Jotunheim and sometimes gifted humans with its contents in order to inspire them to poetic greatness. He achieved great wisdom by sacrificing one of his eyes to Mimir, the guardian of the Fountain of Mimir or Knowledge. He also allowed himself to become a sacrificial victim, impaling himself on a branch of Yggdrasil for nine days, after which he died, learning the wisdom of the dead. At Ragnarok, Odin will be killed by Fenrir, the giant wolf, but avenged by his son Vidar.
Frigga was Odin's loving and faithful wife. She was a mother goddess and cared for all humans, though she was partial to mothers and children. They had two sons together: Balder, the god of light, purity, and beauty and Bragi, the god of poetry, elegance, and wisdom. Frigga was able to see into the future, but she never revealed what she saw.
